Process

A typical relationship begins with a consultation where a brief education on the art market is given and images are presented to gauge the client's tastes. Subsequent sessions include gallery tours and reviewing of images online.

Artworks are selected based on the client's aesthetics and budget. A secondary consideration is available space. These factors are considered in relation to the quality, medium, condition, rarity and historical significance of the artwork.

In addition to advising on acquisitions, Cottelston can arrange for framing, shipping, installation, photography, insurance and restoration of artworks. While the cost of these items is the responsibility of the clients, Cottelston can manage the process.
